Senior Financial Analyst, Capital Markets and Treasury BIA

Location: Hybrid in Toronto, Canada, with 1–3 days per week on-site at Toronto-81 Bay

What you will do

• Support the Director of Capital Markets and Treasury BIA with strategic projects, initiatives, ad hoc requests, and investigative analysis.
• Act as a point of contact for business and infrastructure partners, providing advisory support and communicating project status and resolutions.
• Support migrations and new initiatives by preparing business requirements, reviewing solution designs, and evaluating SIT and UAT results.
• Contribute to accounting-focused projects involving Capital Markets, Treasury, Controllership, Risk Management, Finance, Technology, and Front Office stakeholders.
• Analyze on- and off-balance-sheet products, manual accounting adjustments, financial instruments, hedge effectiveness, and key transaction post-mortems.
• Improve finance systems and processes while ensuring compliance with regulatory and governance requirements.

Requirements

• Degree in Economics, Finance, Commerce, or Accounting.
• 5–7 years of relevant business experience.
• Experience with accounting treatment for on- and off-balance-sheet products, financial instruments accounting standards, and hedge effectiveness testing.
• Knowledge of Capital Markets products, including bonds, swaps, options, futures, and foreign exchange, as well as pricing and settlement practices.
• Ability to develop SQL queries and write VBA code for troubleshooting, with knowledge of Treasury and Capital Markets trading, reporting, portfolio, and General Ledger systems.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and hold a valid work or study permit where applicable.
