Executive Protection Specialist

Location: Huntington Bank office, 41 S High St, Columbus, OH 43215, United States. Workplace type: Office. The role requires domestic and international travel to support executive protection needs.

What you will do

• Provide primary close protection for the CEO, President, and designated VIPs.
• Conduct threat assessments, protective intelligence research, site visits, and advance planning for events and travel.
• Coordinate executive movements, travel tracking, security plans, service providers, law enforcement, and internal stakeholders.
• Drive executives and family members using specialized evasive or defensive driving techniques when required.
• Respond to emergencies, provide first aid or CPR, de-escalate tense situations, and coordinate with first responders.
• Maintain security equipment, reports, protection schedules, vehicle readiness, and residence security monitoring.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• 5+ years of practical security experience, including areas such as active shooter response, counterterrorism, firearms, crisis management, emergency medicine, and tactical rescue.
• 2+ years of close protection or executive protection experience, preferably in a dignitary or diplomatic environment.
• LEOSA permit to carry a concealed firearm and a valid driver's license.
• Current authorization to work full-time in the United States is required.
• Ability to pass a background check, psychological suitability assessment, physical fitness test, and other required assessments.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree.
• Armed Security Officer Certification under FAA regulations, or the ability to obtain it.
• EMT experience and private-sector executive protection experience.
• Experience communicating with authorities, executives, clients, public officials, and security personnel in high-pressure situations.
