Close Protection Officer

Location: Required on-site in the United States, with the role based in New York City, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles; periodic travel required.

Salary: $145,000–$150,000 annually; compensation is also listed as $69.71–$72.12 hourly.

What you will do

• Provide close protection and serve as lead protection officer for senior executives.
• Develop security and logistical plans for domestic and international executive travel.
• Conduct advance work, risk assessments, site analysis, and real-time operational decision-making.
• Develop residential security and executive crisis management programs.
• Coordinate executive driving services and collaborate with designated security drivers.
• Liaise with law enforcement, venue security, executive protection peers, and event planners.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience in law enforcement, military, corporate security, or a related executive-level role.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a valid, active driver’s license.
• Valid U.S. Passport and ability to work full-time from an hirify.global-designated U.S. worksite.
• Current and active HR 218 certification and ability to obtain firearm-carry licensing in relevant states.
• Strong decision-making, leadership, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Availability for on-call duty and 24/7 emergency response, including short-notice travel and weekend work.

Nice to have

• Accredited close protection certification.
• Tactical experience such as SWAT, defensive tactics, or CQB.
• EMT or BLS certification.
• Tactical or evasive driver training certification.
• International or supervisory experience.
