What you will do

• Design, develop, and debug firmware for optical modules, transceivers, and related products.
• Implement embedded software for microcontrollers using bare-metal and real-time operating systems.
• Develop unit, integration, and system tests to ensure firmware quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with hardware, manufacturing, and test engineering teams on requirements, interfaces, product bring-up, debugging, and production ramp-up.
• Contribute to firmware architecture discussions and design reviews.
• Analyze performance bottlenecks and stability issues, and document firmware designs, specifications, and test plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of embedded firmware development experience, preferably in optical networking or telecommunications.
• Proficiency in C and C++ for embedded systems.
• Experience with bare-metal development and FreeRTOS or a similar real-time operating system.
• Understanding of ARM Cortex-M/R microcontrollers and peripheral interfaces including I2C, SPI, UART, USB, and Ethernet.
• Experience with hardware/software debugging tools, Git, problem-solving, independent work, and team collaboration.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of digital signal processing or control systems.
