Senior Staff Firmware Engineer (C/Python)

Salary: $131,010–$196,300 per year, plus eligibility for bonus and equity plans.

What you will do

• Develop and debug portable C software for embedded firmware, host-based C/Python utilities and GUIs, regression systems, and simulation infrastructure.
• Design scalable, maintainable, and mergeable firmware features and participate in code reviews and software development processes.
• Perform cross-vendor interoperability testing and debug issues affecting standards compliance.
• Create utilities for embedded software development, debugging, evaluation, and diagnostics.
• Develop test infrastructure, analyze test data, and maintain test scripts.

Requirements

• BS or MS degree in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering, with 4+ years of experience.
• Strong C and Python programming, debugging, and testing skills.
• Knowledge of embedded microprocessors, especially ARM Cortex.
• Experience with Git, build and release procedures, and established coding guidelines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience architecting embedded C software with state machines and developing firmware for digital signal processing systems.
• Experience with boot loaders, RTOS implementation, and the full embedded firmware development lifecycle.
• Hardware troubleshooting experience with oscilloscopes, ICE, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers.
• Experience with Python GUI development, Ethernet protocols, and physical-layer devices.
• Verilog proficiency.
