Project Structural Fitter B (Structural Fabrication)

Location: Onsite at the Solar manufacturing facility in Channelview, Texas, United States. Candidates may be assigned to any shift based on business needs; 1st- and 2nd-shift availability and overtime are required. No relocation package is available.

Salary: $22.74–$34.11 per hour, plus a qualifying $3 per hour 2nd-shift premium.

What you will do

• Frame structural weldments and fit structural subcomponents according to engineering drawings.
• Follow documented procedures and standard work to perform safe, defect-free operations.
• Perform carbon arc cutting and gouging.
• Sand and dress welds when required.
• Use measuring and locating tools, including tape measures and transits.
• Move and position work pieces using forklifts, pallet jacks, jib cranes, and overhead cranes.

Requirements

• Pass the structural fitter qualification test.
• At least six months of production-environment experience.
• Ability to perform simple computer operations.
• Ability to work onsite in Channelview, Texas, on assigned shifts, including 1st or 2nd shift and overtime as needed.
• Ability to climb and work from ladders and scaffolds.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Nice to have

• One to three years of structural fabrication experience.
• Three or more years of structural fabrication experience.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
• Leadership experience.
