Senior Product Designer (Capital Advances)

Location: Must be based on the East Coast of Canada and work in the Eastern Time Zone (ET). Flexible and remote work policies are available.

Salary: CAD 120,000–135,000 per year for candidates working in Ontario; compensation is updated to British Columbia for roles posted in Vancouver.

What you will do

• Lead product design projects for the Capital Advances team, from ambiguous concepts through iterative design and delivery.
• Design internal underwriting and operations tools that support processing advances at scale, alongside merchant-facing experiences.
• Use AI to synthesize research and complex data, create prototypes through agentic workflows, and shape prompts for production experiences.
• Build coherent systems, flows, interfaces, design systems, and micro-interactions across internal and merchant-facing products.
• Partner with product, engineering, risk, and operations teams through design reviews, research, and alignment sessions.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of in-house product, UX/UI design experience.
• Experience designing complex workflow-heavy products, internal tools, admin consoles, case management, or operational systems.
• Experience working in financial services, lending, risk, payments, or another domain shaped by policy and compliance.
• Demonstrated use of AI in design practice, including research synthesis, prototyping, agentic workflows, or production development.
• Strong communication skills and experience collaborating in agile, cross-functional product teams.
• Must be located on the East Coast of Canada and work in the Eastern Time Zone (ET).

Nice to have

• Experience designing and supporting development of a 0-to-1 product.
• Deep knowledge of lending operations, customer onboarding, credit underwriting, or related business processes.
