Integrated Assembly Technician (Aerospace/Automotive)

Location: Onsite in Long Beach or Torrance, California, United States

What you will do

• Assemble structural and mechanical components from engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Align, fit, and secure additively manufactured metal components using fasteners, adhesives, and other joining techniques.
• Perform dry fits, verification checks, leak-down testing, and final installation.
• Inspect assemblies for dimensional accuracy, cosmetic finish, defects, and mechanical integrity while documenting measurements and process steps.
• Operate and maintain hand tools, torque tools, pneumatic systems, precision measuring instruments, and fixtures.
• Collaborate with production, machining, finishing, engineering, and supervisory teams while following safety and Lean Manufacturing practices.

Requirements

• Ability to lawfully access information and technology subject to U.S. export controls.
• Demonstrated proficiency in mechanical assembly, precision fitting, or related manufacturing work.
• Experience with keysert locking inserts, helicoils, taps, insert specifications, lubricants, and aerospace sealants.
• Understanding of wet and dry insert installation, torque specifications, fastener types, and mechanical alignment.
• Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and assembly instructions with strong attention to quality.
• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to work in a manufacturing environment and lift up to 40 pounds independently.

Nice to have

• Experience with metallic or composite components in automotive, aerospace, or additive manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of GD&T and post-processing such as heat treatment, finishing, or coating.
• Basic familiarity with Siemens NX, MES, documentation, and ERP systems.
