Advanced Analytics Associate Director - Kidney (Pharmaceutical Analytics)

Location: Boston, MA, United States. Hybrid-eligible with remote work permitted up to two days per week, or on-site five days per week with ad hoc flexibility.

Base salary: $157,800–$236,600 per year, plus eligibility for annual bonus and equity awards.

What you will do

• Lead advanced analytics and data science initiatives supporting strategic commercial decisions for the U.S. Kidney therapeutic area.
• Design, validate, and maintain statistical, predictive, machine-learning, segmentation, classification, and clustering models.
• Integrate internal and external healthcare, patient, sales, marketing, payer, and market-access datasets into scalable analytical assets.
• Build KPI tracking, performance analytics, Power BI dashboards, self-service reporting tools, and automated reporting processes.
• Develop scenario analyses, opportunity assessments, and decision-support tools for commercial planning and risk evaluation.
• Communicate model outputs, assumptions, limitations, and recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional partners.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
• 7–10 years of quantitative experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, commercial analytics, data science, finance, strategy, business development, or relevant consulting; alternatively, at least 4 years of relevant post-MBA or PhD experience.
• Advanced experience with Excel, SQL, Python, statistical programming, Power BI, statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning.
• Experience working with large, complex, and disparate healthcare, patient, commercial, sales, and marketing datasets.
• Experience building dashboards, KPI reporting, business intelligence tools, data-quality practices, documentation, and analytical governance.
• Strong ability to translate technical analyses into clear business insights and executive-level communications.

Nice to have

• Experience in kidney disease, nephrology, rare disease, or specialty-care commercial businesses.
• Experience with pharmaceutical or biotechnology commercial data science, real-world data, patient journeys, treatment pathways, provider segmentation, or market access analytics.
• Experience with cloud data platforms, data warehouses, ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines, and analytical automation.
• Experience supporting product launches, pre-launch planning, market sizing, commercial strategy, or opportunity assessments.
