Location: Reston, Virginia, United States; hybrid work with at least 50% of each quarter spent in the office or in the field, and possible on-site work at client locations in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area.
Salary: $163,800–$245,800 annual base salary for the primary location; additional U.S. locations offer $148,200–$264,000.

What you will do
- Run, manage, and scale containerized workloads on Kubernetes clusters in AWS GovCloud.
- Automate infrastructure, configurations, and deployment pipelines with Terraform, Terragrunt, Docker, AWS, and Argo CD.
- Design and maintain air-gapped deployment methods for secure and isolated environments.
- Build monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to improve platform reliability and service visibility.
- Troubleshoot complex distributed-system, infrastructure, and network issues.
- Collaborate with engineering, security, and cross-functional teams while documenting architecture and mentoring engineers.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required because the role supports U.S. federal government contracts.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government TS/SCI security clearance with CI Polygraph is required; an active clearance is strongly preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience with production cloud infrastructure, DevOps pipelines, or platform engineering systems.
- At least 3 years of experience with Terraform or Terragrunt, CI/CD or GitOps tools, and modern scripting or programming languages such as Go or Python.
- Experience independently leading technical initiatives, troubleshooting distributed systems, and mentoring junior engineers.
- Experience with Kubernetes, AWS, Docker, observability systems, security compliance, or air-gapped architectures is valuable.
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS GovCloud, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, or Zero Trust architecture.
- DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II or higher certification and a current Computing Environment credential.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent military or practical engineering experience.
