Associate Fire Protection Consultant

Salary: $75,000–$85,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Deliver fire protection engineering services under the direction of a professional engineer or experienced consultant.
• Perform life safety code consulting, sprinkler design, fire alarm design, and performance-based fire engineering design.
• Prepare plans, specifications, inspection reports, progress reports, and other project documentation.
• Conduct building code, egress, fire detection, alarm, smoke control, sprinkler, and water supply reviews.
• Perform engineering calculations, including hydraulic calculations, egress capacity, allowable building area, and smoke control equipment sizing.
• Support field investigations, design coordination, design checking, and communication with project teams and clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Fire Protection, Mechanical, Civil, Architectural, or a related engineering field.
• 0–3 years of experience; recent graduates are eligible.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for reports, presentations, correspondence, and client interactions.
• Strong problem-solving and reasoning skills with the ability to work independently.
• Interest in advancing fire protection engineering and safety practices.
