Principal Maintenance Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: Desoto, Texas; onsite five days a week

What you will do

• Perform carpentry, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pipefitting, painting, HVAC, welding, soldering, and other facility and equipment repairs.
• Provide emergency, preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance for production equipment and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems, including motors, relays, switches, fuses, breakers, and AC/DC systems.
• Support continuous improvement, space planning, and capital projects while following safety, quality, regulatory, purchasing, and cost standards.
• Document maintenance activities, complete work orders, coordinate with planners and schedulers, and respond to service requests with minimal supervision.
• Train less experienced technicians and communicate with internal customers, vendors, consultants, and cross-functional personnel.

Requirements

• 10+ years of general maintenance or facility maintenance experience.
• Experience with HVAC systems, electrical systems, fabrication, cutting, grinding, welding, oil/water separators, and material-handling equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures, maintenance safety regulations, and preventive maintenance practices.
• Ability to work with voltages from 4–20 milliamps up to 600 volts AC and use MS Office applications.
• Ability to work onsite five days per week in Desoto, Texas; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Expertise in building infrastructure, plumbing, HVAC, or facility maintenance.
• Knowledge of construction practices, building codes, mechanical and electrical drawings, and schematics.
• Experience sourcing and ordering supplies and equipment.
• Knowledge of CMMS and Building Management System software such as Web Control.
