Facilities Engineer II (Aerospace Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in San Jose, California, five days per week. The role requires access to export-controlled information and eligibility under U.S. export regulations.

Salary: $132,000–$143,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead facilities and infrastructure projects through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, documentation, and maintenance.
• Coordinate consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Oversee maintenance and repairs for HVAC, cleanroom and HEPA systems, security, fire protection, utilities, and other manufacturing infrastructure.
• Resolve design and construction conflicts in the field and support capital project execution.
• Coordinate permits, inspections, certificates, schedules, budgets, and technical specifications.
• Respond to facility emergencies and maintain readiness procedures for environmental threats.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or another engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience designing or building MEP and HVAC systems.
• Experience managing engineering, procurement, and construction processes for aerospace, industrial, or large commercial projects.
• Experience with electrical distribution, transformers, lighting, grounding, UPS systems, backup generators, and automatic transfer switches.
• Experience with plumbing, domestic and process water systems, HVAC equipment, chillers, boilers, HEPA filtration, and air handling systems.
• Must be eligible to access U.S. export-controlled information as a U.S. person, through an applicable exemption, or through likely export authorization.

Nice to have

• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or engineering design software.
• Experience in conceptual design and budgeting.
• Familiarity with National Electric Code, ASHRAE, NFPA, and International Building Code.
• Experience with aerospace manufacturing equipment, cleanrooms, vibration tables, and thermal vacuum or thermal chambers.
• Experience with data acquisition systems, PLCs, and process automation equipment.
