Human Centered Design Engineer (UI/UX)

Location: 100% remote within the continental United States. Standard business hours align with the Eastern Time Zone. Occasional travel to client sites or meetings may be required.

Salary: $100,000–$140,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Apply human-centered design principles and best practices to application design.
• Create mid-to-high-fidelity wireframes, prototypes, interaction flows, and visual designs using Figma.
• Conduct user interviews and usability testing, analyze feedback, and incorporate findings into design work.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, users, technical leaders, and business stakeholders on cross-functional teams.
• Present design decisions, maintain design documentation and specifications, and support developer handoff.
• Prioritize multiple design tasks, meet sprint deadlines, and improve design processes, tools, and standards.

Requirements

• Must reside in the continental United States.
• United States citizenship is required to obtain the required security clearance.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. An active Secret clearance is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic/Web Design, Human Factors, Human-Centered Design, User Experience, web design/development, IT, or a related discipline.
• At least 4 years of professional human-centered design experience.
• Proficiency in Figma, UI/UX design, wireframing, prototyping, graphic design, accessibility, responsive/mobile-first design, and design documentation.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with iOS and Android design guidelines.
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS and how designs translate into code.
• Experience with Agile ceremonies, sprints, backlog grooming, and working sessions.
