UX Engineer IV - (E4)

Location: Hybrid role based in Salt Lake City, UT, Austin, TX, Santa Clara, CA, or Tempe, AZ; travel required 10% of the time.

Salary: $156,000–$214,500 per year.

What you will do

• Translate UX research, interaction designs, and visual specifications into performant, scalable front-end implementations.
• Develop reusable UI components and maintain design systems, UI kits, design tokens, and component documentation.
• Contribute to full-stack development and collaborate with backend engineers on APIs and system architecture.
• Lead and mentor UI developers through design reviews, code reviews, training, and design-thinking practices.
• Build high-fidelity prototypes and proof-of-concepts using modern frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, or Native Mobile.
• Improve accessibility, usability, responsiveness, code quality, testing, and design-to-development workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or a related field.
• 8+ years of front-end or full-stack development experience with strong UX/UI collaboration.
• Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and React or similar front-end frameworks.
• Strong understanding of UX principles, interaction design, usability, and information architecture.
• Experience with design systems, component libraries, design tokens, and translating Figma designs into production code.
• Experience working in cross-functional agile teams.

Nice to have

• Experience leading front-end design and coding activities for enterprise software.
• Experience with enterprise-scale applications, complex systems, or semiconductor and other high-tech industries.
• Knowledge of backend technologies and APIs, including Node and Python.
• Experience with AI-assisted development or design-to-code tooling.
