Aircraft Modification Manager (Aerospace)

Location: North Kingstown, Rhode Island, United States. Workplace: On-site.

What you will do

• Plan and execute aircraft modifications designed by engineering teams.
• Provide aircraft status updates and downtime forecasts to support installation and modification scheduling.
• Plan staffing, hire and manage modification personnel, and ensure technicians are qualified and trained.
• Coordinate external agents, contracting agencies, manufacturers, parts suppliers, repair facilities, design engineers, instrumentation engineers, and the FAA.
• Ensure aircraft remain or return to an airworthy condition through inspections, repairs, component changes, and compliance with approved procedures.
• Maintain work records, logbooks, permanent maintenance records, certifications, and regulatory submission processes.

Requirements

• Valid A&P License required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• 5+ years of aviation maintenance experience and 5+ years of aircraft modification experience.
• 2+ years of leadership experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication, customer service, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work on the hangar floor, on aircraft, and in the office at the on-site location.

Nice to have

• IA certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in aviation maintenance, engineering, or management.
• Profit and loss or budget management experience.
