Client Finance Analyst I

What you will do

• Support monthly project accounting activities, status updates, project trackers, and financial reporting.
• Set up new projects in time and expense systems, verify signatures, reconcile data with Salesforce, and escalate discrepancies.
• Update project files for change orders, budget adjustments, carve-outs, milestones, and contracted amounts.
• Prepare client invoices, follow up on overdue balances, maintain contract-based invoicing waterfalls, and prepare monthly accruals.
• Record intercompany revenue and cost transactions, review project hours and expenses, and track employee or subcontractor costs against forecasts and budgets.
• Perform routine general ledger reconciliations and assist with annual budgeting, audits, and ad hoc finance projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in accounting, finance, or business.
• 0–2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage large volumes of qualitative and quantitative information with attention to detail and accountability.

• Agency or professional services experience.
• Month-end close, revenue recognition, or project accounting experience.
• Client services or client-facing experience.
