AI Engineer

Location: Hybrid in New York, with 3+ days per week in the New York office from Tuesday to Thursday; 10–30% travel may be required

Base salary: $150,000–$250,000 per year, depending on experience, location, and level; equity and benefits are also provided.

What you will do

• Build, deploy, and operate production AI systems in customer environments.
• Design compound AI workflows combining models, prompts, agents, tools, retrieval, evaluation, feedback loops, and execution.
• Develop maintainable Python services and application logic integrated with customer workflows, data platforms, APIs, and existing applications.
• Measure system behavior, identify failure modes, debug issues, and improve quality, reliability, and user value.
• Build evaluation frameworks, test cases, feedback mechanisms, and observability patterns.
• Work directly with customer stakeholders and subject matter experts while collaborating with AI Engineers and AI Strategists.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Fluent French, written and spoken, for technical discussions with French-speaking clients.
• Experience building end-to-end applications powered by LLMs or other AI models.
• Strong Python and production software engineering skills, including testing, debugging, versioning, performance, and code review.
• Ability to work directly with customers, navigate ambiguity, and take ownership of production outcomes.
• Willingness to travel 10–30%, depending on the project and customer needs.
