Senior Frontend Engineer (React/Next.js)

Location: 100% remote across all US locations

Salary: $160,000–$180,000 annual pay, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead frontend implementation of new features from Figma through production using React and Next.js.
• Translate designs into responsive, accessible, performant interfaces with high visual fidelity.
• Own frontend architecture, including state management, data fetching, rendering performance, testing, feature flags, A/B tests, and instrumentation.
• Build reusable React components for the shared design system using design tokens, theming, documentation, and Storybook stories.
• Partner with Design and Product to assess feasibility, resolve ambiguity, and communicate technical trade-offs.
• Raise engineering quality through code reviews, pairing, mentoring, and consistent use of the component library.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional frontend engineering experience.
• Expert-level React and Next.js with required TypeScript experience.
• Strong knowledge of design systems, design tokens, component API design, state management, data fetching, rendering performance, and testing.
• Experience working from Figma designs, with Storybook and at least one of CSS-in-JS, CSS Modules, or Tailwind CSS.
• Working knowledge of WCAG and web accessibility standards.
• Experience shipping production frontend features end-to-end and collaborating closely with designers and product managers.

Nice to have

• Experience with motion design and production animations using Framer Motion or GSAP.
• Experience in high-growth DTC or e-commerce companies, preferably with a headless Shopify stack.
• Fluency with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or Cursor.
• Knowledge of A/B testing frameworks and experimentation methodologies.
• Experience with health, wellness, science-focused consumer brands, or design-led consumer products.
