Buyer III (Manufacturing Procurement)

What you will do

• Manage the procurement lifecycle for assigned raw material commodities, including RFQs, purchase orders, supplier communication, and order management.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Planning, Material Handling, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Supply Chain & Procurement teams to support production readiness.
• Evaluate supplier quotations and commercial terms, support negotiations, and ensure accurate and compliant purchase orders.
• Monitor supplier commitments and performance, communicate material risks, and resolve supply issues.
• Analyze procurement data to improve supplier reliability, inventory decisions, cost, schedule, quality, and risk.
• Improve procurement processes, supplier management practices, and cross-functional workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 4+ years of procurement, purchasing, or sourcing experience, including independent ownership of moderately complex activities.
• Experience supporting manufacturing operations and managing suppliers, purchase orders, RFQs, and commercial purchasing activities.
• Experience with ERP or procurement systems such as Coupa, SAP, Oracle, Ariba, or equivalent.
• Ability to analyze supplier data, evaluate commercial tradeoffs, apply procurement policies, and support negotiations.
• Work authorization may be subject to U.S. Department of Energy Part 810 export-control requirements.

• Direct experience purchasing raw materials or production-critical commodities such as metals, alloys, or industrial materials.
