Planner / Buyer (Life Sciences)

What you will do

• Develop and improve demand forecasts to support production and purchasing plans.
• Source and purchase raw materials, components, and indirect supplies in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Plan material availability for production schedules and customer demand while supporting on-time delivery.
• Monitor stock levels and consumption to prevent stockouts and reduce excess inventory.
• Negotiate supplier pricing, lead times, and terms, maintain purchase orders, and ensure timely deliveries.
• Lead planning meetings, supplier business reviews, and supply chain continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience in demand planning and purchasing within a production-driven environment.
• Understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, production planning, and inventory management.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills for aligning cross-functional teams.
• High attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a proactive continuous improvement mindset.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience in life sciences or another regulated industry.
• APICS certification or equivalent.
