Senior Demand Planner - Discovery & Medical (12 month FTC) (Supply Chain/IBP): Leading end-to-end demand planning and forecasting for a life sciences business unit with an accent on consensus demand plans, cross-functional IBP reviews, and forecast performance improvement. Focus on scenario modelling, translating market insights into actionable plans, and aligning commercial, operations, supply chain, and finance stakeholders.
Location: On-site in Cardiff, United Kingdom; the Supply Chain Operations organization is located in Amersham/Cardiff. Up to 10% global travel is required.

What you will do
- Lead the end-to-end demand planning and forecasting process for an assigned business unit.
- Facilitate the monthly cross-functional Integrated Business Planning process and Demand Review activities.
- Align commercial, product management, supply chain, operations, and finance stakeholders around a single demand plan.
- Analyze demand trends, forecast accuracy, bias, risks, and opportunities, implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop business insights and scenario models to support financial alignment, product lifecycle management, and strategic planning.
- Communicate demand risks and opportunities while ensuring compliance with IBP governance and standard work.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, operations, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, IBP/S&OP, or related roles.
- Experience with ERP or demand planning systems such as Oracle, SAP, Demantra, Kinaxis, or similar.
- Advanced Excel and Power BI skills, including the ability to develop new tools.
- Experience working in complex, matrixed, and global organizations, with strong communication and stakeholder-influence skills.
- Familiarity with Lean, DBS, or continuous improvement methodologies.
Nice to have
- Experience in life sciences, medical devices, biopharma, or regulated manufacturing.
- CPIM or another relevant supply chain certification.
- Knowledge of statistical forecasting methodologies and planning automation tools.
