Company

hirify.global conducts translational biomedical research focused on pediatric catastrophic diseases and transformative treatments.

What you will do

  • Lead complex in vivo studies using humanized, immunocompromised, hemoglobinopathy, and other disease-relevant research models.
  • Isolate, characterize, prepare, engraft, and maintain human hematopoietic stem cells and targeted cell populations.
  • Administer experimental genome-engineering therapies using precise, minimally invasive delivery methods.
  • Perform aseptic sample collection, dosing, molecular analysis, and downstream flow cytometry studies.
  • Maintain detailed health, engraftment, experimental, and observational records.
  • Mentor early-career researchers and contribute to the optimization of in vivo methods and cellular assays.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field is required; a master’s degree or higher is strongly preferred.
  • At least 5 years of research experience, or 3 years with a master’s degree; no prior experience is required with a PhD.
  • Demonstrated expertise with humanized research models, highly immunocompromised strains such as NBSGW, and/or disease models such as Townes.
  • Hands-on proficiency with multicolor flow cytometry and Magnetic-Activated Cell Sorting (MACS).
  • Experience handling, preparing, and delivering or transplanting human hematopoietic stem cells is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of animal welfare, regulatory compliance, protocol refinement, research databases, and flow cytometry analysis software.

Culture & Benefits

  • Research practices follow the principles of Replacement, Reduction, and Refinement (3Rs).
  • Work closely with veterinary staff, Animal Resource Center personnel, and research teams.
  • Apply humane endpoints, environmental enrichment, and welfare-focused handling techniques.
  • Follow institutional policies, the ILAR Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals, and the USDA Animal Welfare Act.
