TL;DR
Preclinical Research Technologist (Medical Devices): Supporting preclinical evaluations of medical devices in animate, inanimate, and cadaveric models with an accent on laboratory documentation, study logistics, and Good Laboratory Practices. Focus on supporting robotic surgery research, generating safety and performance evidence, and maintaining compliance with animal welfare regulations and 21 CFR Part 58.

Location: On-site in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States

Salary: $50,000–$80,500 per year

What you will do

  • Support product evaluations using animate, inanimate, and cadaveric models.
  • Assist with research and development of minimally invasive robotic surgery products and procedures.
  • Support medical device investigations and the generation of preclinical evidence for R&D, regulatory, and commercial objectives.
  • Document laboratory data and activities under the direction of the Study Director or Study Coordinator.
  • Coordinate study logistics, including instrument and supply requests, device transfers, pick-lists, and study binders.
  • Support SOPs, study documentation, data collection documents, and compliance with GLP and animal-use policies.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of related technical experience in preclinical research or a research/laboratory environment.
  • A bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with preclinical processes, medical device development, and preclinical regulations.
  • Familiarity with FDA 21 CFR Part 58 Good Laboratory Practices and good documentation practices.
  • Familiarity with animal welfare regulations and IACUC.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment with ownership, accountability, flexibility, and attention to quality.

  • Experience working in a GLP environment.
