Scientist, ADC In Vivo Pharmacology

Location: San Diego, California, United States; on-premise work

Annual base salary: $79,400–$132,400, plus eligibility for a 7.5% bonus target.

What you will do

• Execute in vivo oncology studies supporting ADC, large-molecule, and small-molecule discovery programs.
• Perform tumor implantation and measurement, animal monitoring, IV, PO, subQ, and IP dosing, clinical observations, and sample collection.
• Support efficacy, tolerability, pharmacodynamic, dose-response, schedule optimization, and combination studies.
• Prepare and follow study protocols, dosing schedules, randomization plans, and sample collection timelines.
• Maintain compliant electronic study records and support data review, graphical summaries, and interpretation.
• Coordinate with project leads, vivarium operations, pathology, toxicology, bioanalytical, pharmacodynamic, pharmacokinetic, and external teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, pharmacology, animal science, cancer biology, or a related discipline with relevant research experience.
• Hands-on experience conducting rodent in vivo studies and proficiency with tumor implantation, measurements, dosing, monitoring, sample collection, and documentation.
• Working knowledge of oncology pharmacology, including tumor growth inhibition, response assessment, dose scheduling, tolerability, and pharmacodynamic endpoints.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, collaboration, and ability to manage concurrent study activities.
• Ability to follow protocols, identify technical or animal welfare concerns, and work under IACUC, biosafety, and internal requirements.
• Permanent work authorization in the United States is required; U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with ADC, targeted therapy, immuno-oncology, or combination oncology programs.
• Familiarity with ADC payload potency, linker stability, antigen expression, exposure-response relationships, and tolerability liabilities.
• Experience with ex vivo tissue processing, necropsy, flow cytometry sample preparation, molecular endpoints, or in vitro assays.
• Studylog or similar electronic data system experience and AALAS certification or equivalent animal-care training.
