In Vivo Scientist (Neuroscience)

What you will do

• Design, execute, and scale high-throughput in vivo neuroscience studies in rodents.
• Lead stereotaxic surgeries, delivery methods, dosing, monitoring, imaging, and endpoint procedures.
• Develop and optimize in vivo methodologies and novel animal models for evaluating engineered proteins.
• Collaborate on gene delivery approaches for targeted and efficient expression in the central nervous system.
• Contribute to custom experimental setups integrating imaging and neuromodulation technologies.
• Mentor Research Associates and support the scaling of in vivo operations.

Requirements

• PhD or equivalent experience in neuroscience, biology, bioengineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant postdoctoral or equivalent industry experience.
• Hands-on in vivo research experience with strong expertise in rodent brain surgery.
• Experience designing and executing end-to-end in vivo studies with rigorous documentation.
• Strong understanding of experimental rigor, reproducibility, and data quality.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, multidisciplinary, cross-functional environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with optogenetics, chemogenetics, or sonogenetics.
• Experience with gene delivery, ultrasound, or immunology.
