What you will do

  • Design, conduct, and lead in vivo preclinical model studies and ex vivo analyses.
  • Explore the pharmacology of drug targets for inflammation, autoimmune, and rare disease programs.
  • Use animal models and in vivo pharmacology to validate and accelerate molecules through the research pipeline.
  • Generate, analyze, and communicate pharmacology and preclinical data.
  • Collaborate with inflammation scientists, therapeutic-area teams, project teams, and collaborators across hirify.global sites.
  • Provide technical expertise and potentially manage up to one direct report.

Requirements

  • PhD in immunology, biology, pharmacology, or a related discipline; alternatively, a relevant master's degree with 2 years of biotech/pharma experience or bachelor's degree with 4 years of biotech/pharma experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with rodent handling and in vivo techniques, including intravenous, intraperitoneal, oral, intradermal, subcutaneous, and intrathecal administration, bleeds, and necropsy.
  • Experience designing and executing concurrent in vivo preclinical inflammation and autoimmune disease models.
  • Hands-on experience with ex vivo, in vitro cellular, and biochemical assays, including ELISA, MSD, Western blot, quantitative RT-PCR, and tissue protein extraction.
  • Significant experience with multicolor or spectral flow cytometry and immune cell populations.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, organization, data analysis, record-keeping, and critical-thinking skills, with proficiency in GraphPad Prism, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Nice to have

  • Postdoctoral or industry experience.
  • Experience with colitis, lupus, arthritis, immune modulation, immunization, or respiratory models.
  • A publication record or significant contribution to a therapeutic program.
