Facilities Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States, with occasional work at the Torrance headquarters, California, United States.

Salary: $24–$38 per hour, depending on level.

What you will do

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, compressed air, process cooling water, vacuum, and other facility systems.
• Monitor equipment, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues, and complete repairs while minimizing production downtime.
• Support the installation, commissioning, relocation, and decommissioning of manufacturing equipment and coordinate utility connections.
• Use CMMS to schedule preventive maintenance, maintain records, and document work orders.
• Support facility modifications, emergency response, safety compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, EH&S, and external contractors to improve facility uptime and reliability.

Requirements

• Must be able to lawfully access information and technology subject to US export controls.
• High school diploma or GED and at least 3 years of facilities maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience maintaining industrial HVAC, electrical, plumbing, compressed air, or mechanical systems and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs, CMMS software, technical drawings, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
• Ability to use hand and power tools, prioritize multiple tasks, and work on ladders, lifts, or elevated platforms.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and work safely around industrial equipment and utilities.

Nice to have

• Experience in advanced manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, automation, robotic, or highly automated facilities.
• Knowledge of industrial electrical systems, HVAC, compressed air, vacuum, process cooling water, pneumatic systems, or industrial controls.
• Forklift, scissor lift, or boom lift certification.
• Welding, fabrication, machining, or basic PLC troubleshooting experience.
