Systems Engineer 3 (Medical Devices)

Location: Newark, Delaware, United States or Marlborough, Massachusetts, United States

Annual base salary: $97,600–$152,700, plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Define system requirements, use cases, interfaces, architectures, subsystem structures, and control documents.
• Lead requirements flow-down and traceability from system level to subsystems and components.
• Serve as the technical point of contact across hardware, software, firmware, mechanical, quality, and manufacturing teams.
• Plan and lead system integration, verification, validation, test strategies, test plans, and test execution.
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, lead root-cause investigations, and drive corrective actions.
• Manage technical risks, change-impact assessments, design compliance, regulatory submissions, audits, and customer interactions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in systems engineering or an equivalent multidisciplinary engineering role.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional technical projects or products.
• Hands-on experience with requirements management, system architecture, and system integration and verification.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, leadership, communication, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work at the Newark, Delaware or Marlborough, Massachusetts location.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Systems Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in a regulated industry such as medical devices, aerospace, automotive, or industrial engineering.
• Familiarity with INCOSE, the V-model, MBSE, SysML, or similar systems engineering practices.
• Experience with DOORS, Jama, Polarion, or other requirements management tools.
