Sr. Principal Systems Engineer - Medical Device

Location: Onsite in Mounds View, Minnesota or Newton, Massachusetts, with a minimum of four days per week in the office. Travel is less than 20%.

Salary: $164,000–$246,000 USD annually, plus eligibility for the hirify.global Incentive Plan.

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership for system integration and apply systems engineering principles across development activities.
• Define and execute integration, characterization, interface, and troubleshooting testing.
• Support integration of electrophysiology systems into hospital cardiac catheterization laboratory environments.
• Create testing, training, and technical guidance documents with cross-functional development teams.
• Support marketing, field engineering, technical services, and training teams with technical questions.
• Propose and implement changes that improve systems and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with at least 8 years, or a PhD with at least 6 years.
• Advanced systems engineering experience defining system architecture.
• Professional experience in medical devices.
• Must have unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and throughout employment unless eligible for the stated Principal-level sponsorship policy.
• For qualifying foreign baccalaureate degrees, the degree must satisfy the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A).

• Advanced understanding of electrophysiology and comfort working in hospital environments.
• Experience applying Design Controls to medical devices.
• Ability to create strategies and influence cross-functionally.
