Maintenance Supervisor (Industrial Gases)

What you will do

• Supervise maintenance personnel working on DOT-regulated terminal equipment.
• Oversee inspection, maintenance, and repair of pump systems, underground storage tanks, fuel islands, buildings, tractors, rail cars, trailers, and cryogenic equipment.
• Manage preventive maintenance programs and coordinate repairs to minimize transportation equipment downtime.
• Maintain inspection, maintenance, training, spending, and work-order records in compliance with applicable requirements.
• Coordinate near-miss and event-management matters, support emergency response for equipment failures and spills, and lead contractor compliance activities.
• Participate in internal and external DOT audits and inspections.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; a degree or certification in diesel technology is relevant.
• 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a DOT-regulated terminal, transportation operation, or industrial facility.
• Knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, FRA, and OSHA regulations and the ability to apply them to maintenance operations.
• Understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and cryogenic pumping systems, plus the ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and maintenance documentation.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, coordination, safety awareness, and risk-mitigation skills.
• Ability to work at the La Porte, Texas terminal in a safety-critical environment.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of hirify.global equipment.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
• HAZMAT awareness and incident-response experience.
• CDL.
• Knowledge of cryogenic liquids and atmospheric gas products.
• Experience with SAP, Fleetio, Atlas, or Agile Point maintenance-management systems.
