Director 3 – Senior Director of Systems Engineering

Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States; onsite role. Applicants must obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.

Base salary: $200,000–$352,500 per year

What you will do

• Lead a directorate of approximately 500 engineers across system concept development, trade analysis, architectures, requirements, integration, testing, validation, and verification.
• Set the vision, strategy, goals, budgets, staffing plans, and long-term roadmaps for a high-performing engineering organization.
• Advance Digital Engineering and Continuous Integration across the Systems Engineering development Vee.
• Partner with engineering leadership and program offices to deliver business and technical objectives.
• Develop organizational capabilities, improve performance and quality, and resolve resource and staffing challenges.
• Develop capture plans, proposal strategies, teaming relationships, and corporate investments for new business opportunities.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in Engineering, another technical discipline, or Business Administration with an equivalent technical background.
• 15+ years of management experience within engineering and familiarity with Department of Defense program execution.
• Strong program and people management skills, including experience achieving results through other leaders.
• Experience managing firm-fixed-price contracts and interacting frequently with customers.
• Knowledge of technologies related to communications, collection, data analytics, and cybersecurity.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.

• Established contacts and knowledge of the government acquisition process within the intelligence community and supporting industries.
