Director, Cyber Security Development & Automation (AI)

Salary: $164,600–$288,000 USD base pay

What you will do

• Lead developers and automation engineers building security capabilities that reduce cyber risk and improve control execution.
• Set the roadmap for AI-enabled applications, security agents, API integrations, and reusable automation patterns.
• Oversee workflow automation for threat response, vulnerability management, remediation, evidence collection, and control validation.
• Establish responsible AI engineering practices covering model governance, prompt and retrieval standards, testing, evaluation, observability, and exception handling.
• Ensure production solutions include authentication, authorization, secrets handling, logging, change control, auditability, and operational support.
• Recruit, coach, and develop senior technical talent while managing delivery priorities and stakeholder expectations.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience across cybersecurity, software engineering, security automation, cloud engineering, platform engineering, infrastructure automation, or related disciplines.
• 5+ years of meaningful leadership experience running large development teams.
• Experience with Python-based automation, API integrations, CI/CD, cloud-native services, workflow orchestration, and operational supportability.
• Experience with LLM-enabled solutions, AI agent workflows, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt engineering, model evaluation, AI guardrails, and enterprise AI platforms.
• Ability to deliver in regulated environments with audit-ready evidence, access controls, change management, testability, resiliency, and production support.

Nice to have

• Leadership experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry.
• Experience managing globally distributed technical teams and establishing engineering operating models and delivery metrics.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow, Vulnerability Response, SecOps, CMDB, ITSM integrations, Azure AI Foundry, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, GitHub Actions, Terraform, or cloud-native automation.
• Experience leading automation programs for vulnerability management, exposure management, threat response, identity security, network security, or cloud security operations.
