Senior OT Engineer (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Review OT environments, architectures, technical designs, networks, connectivity, system interactions, and data flows from a cyber security perspective.
• Conduct threat, vulnerability, and risk assessments across operational technology environments.
• Design, configure, implement, and test technical security controls, including firewalls, network segmentation, secure configurations, and monitoring.
• Provide security assurance, technical documentation, risk assessments, and supporting evidence throughout delivery, governance, implementation, and transition.
• Work with engineering, architecture, cyber security, and operational teams to resolve technical challenges and incorporate security requirements into solutions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of OT cyber security practices and ways of working.

Requirements

• Practical experience with OT, ICS, control systems, or other industrial technology environments.
• Good understanding of OT cyber security principles and the challenges of securing operational environments.
• Strong networking knowledge covering architecture, connectivity, segmentation, and data flows.
• Experience implementing, configuring, or assuring technical security controls, including firewalls, secure configuration, and security monitoring.
• Knowledge of cyber security threats, vulnerabilities, risk assessment approaches, technical designs, network diagrams, and system architectures.
• Successful completion of BPSS screening is required. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, collaboration, and stakeholder communication skills are also required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of recognised OT and cyber security standards and frameworks.
• Certifications such as IEC 62443, GICSP, Check Point, or Splunk.
• Practical OT security delivery experience is valued more highly than specific qualifications.
