Information Security Analyst (Cybersecurity)

Location: Liverpool City Centre, UK; hybrid working available

Salary: £35,000–£45,000 per year, depending on experience

What you will do

• Conduct information security risk assessments across technology, applications, projects, and business processes, tracking mitigations through to completion.
• Analyse security risks, actions, remediation records, vulnerabilities, and control weaknesses.
• Perform third-party risk management, supplier due diligence, and onboarding security assessments.
• Evaluate security controls, prepare reports and dashboards, and recommend improvements.
• Support security tools, incident and event management, security awareness programmes, and information security documentation.
• Represent Information Security on assigned projects and business areas while maintaining current knowledge of threats and vulnerabilities.

Requirements

• Professional experience in information security, cybersecurity, security assurance, or technology risk.
• Practical experience conducting security risk assessments and reviewing security controls.
• Understanding of information security governance, risk management, and information-handling requirements.
• Ability to analyse technical information and translate findings into business risk.
• Experience working with technical and non-technical stakeholders, managing competing deadlines, and communicating clearly.
• Knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001 or NIST.
