Design & Implementation Specialist (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Provide technical security leadership across a strategic banking customer contract.
• Lead customer workshops, capture business and technical requirements, and design complex security solutions and platform architectures.
• Produce and maintain High-Level Designs, Low-Level Designs, security processes, operational procedures, standards, and work instructions.
• Ensure solutions align with contractual obligations, governance requirements, regulatory requirements, industry practices, and customer security controls.
• Guide implementations from initial concept through operational handover while building relationships with technical, operational, leadership, risk, compliance, and supplier stakeholders.

Requirements

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across customer technical teams, senior leadership, project managers, risk and compliance functions, and third-party suppliers.
• Experience delivering large-scale, complex security or infrastructure projects from requirements gathering through design, implementation, and operational handover.
• Experience designing and implementing security solutions across cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Hands-on experience with security and networking technologies such as Palo Alto Networks, Cisco Firepower Threat Defence, Juniper SRX, enterprise IP networking, routing, network segmentation, and security architecture.
• Ability to establish a strong onsite presence with the customer in Glasgow.

Nice to have

• Experience with technical consultancy, pre-sales engagement, business growth opportunities, and customer roadmap development.
• Experience with standardisation, automation, orchestration, Infrastructure as Code, and security process optimisation.
