Senior Cloud Operations Engineer, Infrastructure (AWS)

Location: United States; remote in Massachusetts or New Hampshire, or onsite in Waltham, Massachusetts. US citizenship and residency are required for work with FedRAMP-compliant environments. The regular swing shift is 3pm–12am Eastern Time, with 9am–6pm ET hours during approximately three months of initial training.

Base salary: $102,400–$153,200 annually, plus potential annual bonus or commission and other benefits.

What you will do

• Monitor, respond to, and resolve infrastructure alerts, incidents, service requests, and changes within SLA.
• Own customer-impacting escalations and restore service stability.
• Provision, operate, and upgrade cloud infrastructure across compute, storage, and platform services.
• Troubleshoot complex platform issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.
• Create and improve runbooks, SOPs, operational standards, and automation that reduces manual work.
• Partner with Engineering on release validation, operational readiness, infrastructure projects, and after-hours on-call coverage.

Requirements

• US citizenship and residency required for FedRAMP-compliant environments.
• 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise cloud infrastructure or cloud operations for SaaS platforms.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience operating AWS infrastructure services, including EC2, EBS, S3, ELB, VPC, Transit Gateway, and Route 53.
• 2+ years of Linux systems administration experience.
• Experience with highly available and fault-tolerant cloud environments, infrastructure automation, and scripting with Bash, Shell, Python, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of networking concepts such as DNS, load balancing, and firewalls.

Nice to have

• Experience with GCP.
• AWS or GCP certification.
• CCNA or CCNP certification.
