Senior Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in London, with 3 days per week at the Shoreditch office. Work from anywhere is available for up to 45 calendar days per year.

hirify.global provides digital payments infrastructure and an API for instant global payouts to cards, wallets, bank accounts, and gift cards.

What you will do

• Architect, implement, and deploy software services and features end to end.
• Design and deliver large-scale, complex projects supporting high throughput and thousands of users.
• Build API-heavy software using serverless cloud infrastructure and event-driven microservices.
• Own software services and solve technology and domain-specific problems as a subject matter expert.
• Improve the responsiveness and performance of web services.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead technical interviews.

Requirements

• Solid experience architecting and developing new software services and features end to end.
• Ability to own the design and architecture of large-scale systems independently.
• Experience developing API-heavy software solutions.
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices and scalable, reusable code.
• Ability to contribute proactively to the improvement of engineering processes.
• Programming experience in any language; the primary stack includes Python, TypeScript, and JavaScript.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS serverless infrastructure, Lambda, and Step Functions.
• Experience with Aurora PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MemoryDB for Redis, or Timestream.
