Field Service Engineer (Marine)

Location: Miramar, Florida, United States. Up to 80% travel is required.

Salary: $89,210–$133,810 per year.

What you will do

• Provide direct technical support to hirify.global Motoren customers and service distributors.
• Support mechanical commissioning of engines and Balance of Plant equipment in the field.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic engine issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate repairs, overhauls, major repairs, subcontractors, dealers, suppliers, and internal technical teams.
• Perform in situ machining, engine service tasks, damage assessments, and material testing such as NDT.
• Prepare technical reports, advise customers on maintenance and overhauling, and participate in service training.

Requirements

• Background in industrial mechanics, engine mechanics, or mechatronics.
• At least 2–4 years of service experience with large diesel, gas, or dual-fuel engines.
• Strong customer service, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple field service activities and maintain clear technical documentation.
• Authorization to operate a company vehicle, minimum age of 21, and a clean driving record.
• Ability to work in a travel-intensive field service role.

Nice to have

• Experience with hirify.global Motoren, MaK, or comparable engines.
• Experience with in situ machining, including crankshaft grinding or block repairs.
• Experience with nondestructive testing methods such as dye penetrant testing and MPI.
• Electrical qualification or willingness to complete electrician training.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Excel, and Word.
