Manufacturing Project Engineer (Industrial IoT)

Location: Onsite five days a week in East Peoria, Illinois. Less than 10% travel may be required. Relocation assistance is not available.

Salary: $112,710–$169,060 per year.

What you will do

• Lead connected asset, manufacturing software, digital transformation, and factory automation projects.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, resource assignments, deliverables, budgets, risks, and performance metrics.
• Use Microsoft Project, Microsoft Lists, dashboards, and reporting tools to track progress and accountability.
• Coordinate Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, IT, Maintenance, Quality, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Identify delays and technical issues, escalate risks, and coordinate solutions for software, system integration, and connected asset problems.
• Support change management, training, documentation, technology adoption, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems, Project Management, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing and project management experience may substitute for the degree.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project and experience with Microsoft Lists, SharePoint, Teams, and Microsoft 365 collaboration tools.
• Knowledge of manufacturing systems, connected devices, Industrial IoT, asset monitoring, and factory software applications.
• Ability to lead cross-functional work, manage risks, analyze project data, troubleshoot technical issues, and drive continuous improvement.
• Sponsorship is not available; the position requires onsite work five days per week in East Peoria, Illinois.

Nice to have

• Experience with MES, SCADA, IIoT, or Industry 4.0 implementations.
• Experience leading multiple concurrent manufacturing projects.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Power Automate, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.
• PMP, CAPM, Agile, or a related project management certification.
