Engineering Manager I (Manufacturing Reliability)

Location: Nampa, Idaho, United States; onsite at a new manufacturing facility. Extensive travel to SEL manufacturing facilities in Pullman, Washington and Lewiston, Idaho is required during the first 6–12 months, typically in multiweek increments totaling approximately 8–12 weeks or more.

Salary: $109,900–$164,800 per year.

What you will do

• Build, develop, and lead the Process Control & Reliability team for a greenfield manufacturing facility.
• Establish preventive maintenance practices and systems that improve manufacturing equipment performance and availability.
• Lead responses to equipment issues, root cause analysis, and long-term corrective actions.
• Manage hiring, supervision, and development of technical individual contributors.
• Lead engineering disciplines, technologies, and processes while balancing cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
• Support portfolio planning, long-term strategy, internal forums, and collaboration with other SEL manufacturing facilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8+ years of related engineering or management experience.
• Strong technical knowledge in one or more engineering disciplines or technologies.
• Experience designing, producing, or supporting successful products or processes.
• Ability to define technical solutions, manage complex process problems, and develop employees.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively during the first 6–12 months, including multiweek trips to facilities in Washington and Idaho.
