Electrical Technician for Wind Tunnel Testing Equipment (Aerospace)

Location: Manching, Germany; occasional travel to external wind tunnel facilities, approximately three times per year for 1–4 weeks per trip

What you will do

• Instrument, wire, and integrate sensors into wind tunnel models.
• Apply strain gauges manually and perform precision soldering of sensor connections.
• Assemble and mount mechanical and electromechanical components.
• Support model fabrication using in-house 3D printing technologies.
• Maintain and repair wind tunnel models, measurement technology, and data acquisition systems.
• Support test preparation, calibration concepts, quality assurance, and wind tunnel test execution.

Requirements

• Completed vocational training as an Electrical Technician, Electronics Technician, or Precision Mechanic.
• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong practical skills in soldering, wiring, and measurement technology.
• Hands-on experience with hardware, physical models, and precision technical work.
• Proficiency in both English and German is required.
• Willingness to travel to external wind tunnel facilities.

Nice to have

• Experience with electromechanical assemblies or 3D printing.
• Master Craftsman or Technician certificate.
