Liquid Terminal Operator

What you will do

• Safely and efficiently load and unload liquid products to and from storage tanks, railcars, tank trucks, ships, barges, and other terminal equipment.
• Perform line-up movements, operate valves and pumps, and gauge tanks.
• Sample products and record temperatures and storage levels.
• Follow environmental, health, safety, operating policies, checklists, and written procedures.
• Maintain assigned equipment and tools and perform terminal cleanup activities.
• Work rotating or non-traditional hours, overtime, and shifts with minimal notice when required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic math, verbal communication, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively, follow supervision, and perform duties in rail yards, on railcars, and outdoors in adverse weather.
• Ability to climb railcars up to 20 feet, use ladders and stairs, stand for extended periods, and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to regularly perform bending, crouching, kneeling, squatting, gripping, and movement across uneven or moving surfaces.

Nice to have

• Technical crafts education or experience in liquid terminal operations.
• Hazmat, liquid tank farm, or rail yard operations experience.
• Knowledge of liquid transfer operations.
