HazMat Field Driver/Technician (CDL B) (Hazardous Waste)

Location: Skowhegan, Maine, USA

Pay range: $24.10–$33.10 per hour, depending on hiring locality.

What you will do

• Transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste to generator sites using Class B trucks, tractor-trailers, tankers, roll-offs, vans, and straight trucks.
• Perform LTL pickups and load and unload bulk and containerized materials safely.
• Apply DOT requirements for placarding, labeling, load securement, HAZMAT segregation, manifests, permits, and weight limits.
• Complete driver documentation and DOT/MOT pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Use company mobile applications and maintenance software and communicate with customers to ensure service quality.
• Support lab-pack and field-service projects, facility housekeeping, site safety, and required training.

Requirements

• Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License with hazardous-material and tanker endorsements, or ability to obtain the endorsements within 90 days of hire.
• Motor vehicle record must meet company policy standards.
• Ability to pass 40-hour HAZWOPER training after hire.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical loading and unloading tasks.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, prioritize work, and manage multiple responsibilities.
