Manufacturing Engineer III (Aerospace)

Salary: $94,345.12–$129,724.54 per year

What you will do

• Lead the development and implementation of advanced manufacturing processes.
• Lead cross-functional design reviews and DFM/DFA workshops for complex aerospace systems.
• Manage complex tooling from concept and design through fabrication, validation, and production-floor implementation.
• Analyze manufacturing issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
• Mentor junior engineers in tooling design, process validation, and manufacturing engineering practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline; a higher relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• 6+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering.
• Advanced proficiency with CAD software, process documentation, and Computer Aided Engineering tools.
• Practical knowledge of engineering principles and experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
• Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance and U.S. Citizenship are required.
• Ability to work at a computer for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Nice to have

• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
• Experience with manufacturing automation, robotics, aerospace and defense, GD&T, or ASME Y14.5.
• Knowledge of parametric design, model-based definition, material and hardware selection, and production processes.
• Experience with MRB dispositions, new product introduction, and transition to production.
• Exposure to PLM, MES, and MRP systems.
