Turnaround Supervisor, Project Engineering (Chemical Manufacturing)

Location: Donaldsonville, Louisiana, United States; onsite work at the manufacturing complex, including work at heights and in confined spaces

What you will do

• Manage Project Engineers and contract support staff responsible for capital projects during planned turnarounds.
• Develop capital budgets, forecasts, project estimates, and EWR/AFE scopes for current and future turnarounds.
• Integrate project schedules into maintenance turnaround schedules and support work-order planning.
• Coordinate project execution with Operations, Maintenance, EHSS, Procurement, contractors, fabricators, and third-party design firms.
• Ensure designs, construction packages, equipment fabrication, and project activities meet technical, quality, schedule, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Report project status, technical issues, milestones, schedule changes, and budget adjustments while developing direct reports and improving turnaround processes.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• Seven or more years of engineering experience in the oil, gas, or chemical manufacturing industry preferred, including five or more years in project engineering and hands-on plant experience.
• Strong management, leadership, communication, organization, prioritization, decision-making, and team-development skills.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders, work at heights, and enter confined spaces.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
• Must possess and maintain Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC) and be able to prove drug- and alcohol-free status when required.

Nice to have

• PMP training or certification.
• Experience with nitrogen fertilizer processes.
• Louisiana Professional Engineer registration.
