Manufacturing Technology Engineer (Chemical Manufacturing)

Location: 100% onsite in Parlin, New Jersey, United States; candidates within daily commuting distance are prioritized.

What you will do

• Lead and maintain site Process Safety Management programs and regulatory compliance activities.
• Facilitate Process Hazard Analyses, Management of Change processes, incident investigations, and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews.
• Maintain Process Safety Information, operating procedures, and process safety documentation.
• Drive manufacturing improvements in safety, quality, reliability, throughput, and cost performance.
• Lead root cause investigations, troubleshooting, corrective actions, and process optimization initiatives.
• Support capital projects, technology deployments, raw material qualifications, product trials, and operational readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 7 years of manufacturing, process engineering, or related industrial experience.
• Experience in chemical manufacturing or another higher-hazard process environment.
• Strong knowledge of Process Safety Management principles and regulatory requirements.
• Experience leading root cause investigations and implementing process changes.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and project leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting capital projects from concept through implementation.
• Process Hazard Analysis facilitation experience.
• Knowledge of Mechanical Integrity programs and reliability improvement methodologies.
• Experience with continuous improvement tools and operational excellence initiatives.
• Ability to drive change and influence cross-functional teams in manufacturing.
