What you will do

• Design and implement automation, instrumentation, and control systems for manufacturing processes, equipment, critical systems, and facility infrastructure.
• Develop automation system deliverables, technical narratives, reports, drawings, diagrams, and construction documentation.
• Perform control element calculations, instrumentation selection, and sizing under senior engineering guidance.
• Investigate existing field systems and coordinate designs with architects, engineers, vendors, and construction partners.
• Support construction through RFIs, submittal reviews, punch lists, and progress reports.
• Mentor entry-level engineers and lead small projects or defined scopes of larger projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• At least 3 years of engineering experience, preferably in a design firm.
• Experience or knowledge in instrumentation and controls engineering calculations, control system schematics, panel fabrication drawings, and field wiring plans.
• Ability to read and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Working knowledge of electrical codes, building codes, and industry standards.
• Ability to coordinate across disciplines and perform design calculations under the supervision of a Lead or Senior Engineer.

Nice to have

• Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam registration or completion.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite.
