What you will do

• Design, install, and qualify automation and process control systems for commercial and clinical manufacturing operations.
• Configure and program PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems using Rockwell, Siemens, and Wonderware (AVEVA) platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve automation and system integration issues to ensure reliable and seamless operation.
• Manage small OPEX/CAPEX projects from initial conception through to final closure.
• Ensure all automation systems meet cGMP and regulatory requirements, supporting validation and maintaining compliant documentation.
• Provide technical support and develop preventive maintenance strategies, including participating in on-call rotations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Working knowledge of Rockwell and Siemens platforms.
• Experience with validation documentation, including user requirements, functional/design documents, and test protocols.
• Understanding of risks and controls for working in electrically classified areas.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite at the Research Triangle Park, NC facility.
• Must be willing to participate in on-call rotation and possible shift coverage.

Nice to have

• Experience in a pharmaceutical environment with 21 CFR Part 11 regulatory requirements.
• Background in Data Science, Data Analysis, or Machine Learning.
• Advanced experience with Siemens PLCs and HMIs.
