Instrumentation & Controls Engineer II (AI Infrastructure)

Location: Denver, CO, US; on-site. Estimated travel: 25% to manufacturing partners and deployment sites.

Salary: $110,000–$120,000 per year plus bonus; restricted stock units included.

What you will do

• Develop point lists, instrument schedules, I/O assignments, and control system drawings for modular data center systems.
• Execute and document factory acceptance testing, including point-to-point verification, loop checks, and calibration confirmation.
• Support manufacturing teams with control panel build issues, wiring discrepancies, and instrument installation questions.
• Contribute to standardized design packages, drawing templates, and test procedures for repeatable modular production.
• Coordinate with panel fabricators, systems integrators, and instrument suppliers on submittals and technical issues.
• Perform field walks, equipment inspections, calibration verification, and documentation updates for deployment and commissioning.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of professional experience in industrial instrumentation and controls.
• Working familiarity with Rockwell and Allen-Bradley platforms, including Studio 5000 and ControlLogix or CompactLogix.
• Hands-on experience with Ignition SCADA or a comparable platform.
• Experience executing structured test procedures, documenting results, and identifying discrepancies.
• Comfort working in manufacturing and construction environments with field walks, panel inspections, and instrument verification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Nice to have

• Data center, mission-critical, or high-availability industrial controls experience.
• Experience with modular or prefabricated equipment platforms.
• Practical knowledge of Modbus TCP, BACnet, or OPC UA.
• Rockwell, Inductive Automation, or network certifications.
• Awareness of industrial network segmentation and OT cybersecurity practices.
